Numbers-matching 289 engine, 4-speed transmission & 4bbl carburetorthe current owner of this 1965 ford mustang informs us that it’s a true 1964 ⽠model that’s been properly cared for throughout its life and kept very original. While it does have finishing touches like chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner under the hood, the entire factory drivetrain is still i place and this one runs excellent. It was last restored back in 2005 and it has remained in storage since that time, and a quick tune up has it ready to roll. In terms of actual condition, this 1965 ford mustang does have some minor blemishes in the paint that were not properly dealt with during the restoration. It also screams out on the open road with the upgraded exhaust, so this one would make an amazing daily driver. Incredible performance at a rock bottom priceoverall, this 1965 ford mustang is a serious competitor that’s a great paint job and a few other touches away from being a $40k muscle car. I believe its needs a good tuning and maybe the carburetor rebuilt and a voltage regulator battery dies over night. The u joints either need replacing or a back strut there is tapping sound coming from when the car accelerates. The car does start just recently replaced the motor and transmission with 1966 inline 200
